The second-generation 2017 Mazda CX-9 hit the market last spring, and at the same time, launched the Mazda brand’s new top-tier Signature trim level. The Signature trim level features LED interior accent lighting, leather seating surfaces, rosewood and aluminum trim, and more. It also features a refined ride, quiet interior, and impressive performance. Julien Montousse, director of design, Mazda Design Americas, who led the design of the award-winning interior of the 2017 Mazda CX-9, had this to say:
We designed Mazda CX-9’s interior from the onset with a concept of ‘Smart Indulgence,’ recognizing that there’s a balance between needs and wants. Our goal was to maximize both functionality for families and opulence for couples looking for a getaway. We’re thankful that WardsAuto recognized CX-9 as a ’10 Best Interiors’ winner, as it speaks to the success of our fledging ‘Mazda Premium’ brand focus and the evolution of our KODO-Soul of Motion design language.
Tom Murphy, WardsAuto Senior Editor, had this to say about the 2017 Mazda CX-9:
Our Signature test model arrived fully loaded with the beautiful rosewood and aluminum trim, rich two-tone leather and all the creature comforts we could want, for under $46,000. This is the kind of upscale versatility that makes utility vehicles so popular in America.
