The Mazda brand believes that everyone deserves to have a great vehicle, which is why the company offers different programs to help people afford a car or augment it to better meet their needs. Here, Lester Glenn Mazda discusses the Mazda Mobility Program and what it offers disabled drivers.
Driving Aid Reimbursement
For many people, driving a car is a relatively easy endeavor. For others, however, just getting into a vehicle can prove to be difficult. The Mazda brand recognizes this, which is why drivers can get reimbursed up to $1,000 for the purchase and installation of adaptive driving aids or assistance equipment. This includes lift equipment for wheelchairs or other devices, as well as specialized driving controls.
Who is Eligible for the Program?
Any disabled driver who purchases a new Mazda car can take advantage of the Mazda Mobility Program. In order to qualify, they need to submit copies of the following:
- Original vehicle owner’s physician’s statement going over the specific need for mobility assistance
- Original mobility owner’s signed bill of sale or purchase contract for a new Mazda car
- Current registration or title, driver’s license, and mobility assistance claim form
- Paid invoices by the original vehicle owner for the adaptive driving aids assistance equipment installed on the purchased vehicle by a qualified installation provider
