Mazda cars just keep getting better and better, and today, we’re covering two new 2022 models we’re most excited about at Lester Glenn Mazda.
2022 MAZDA MX-30
The Mazda MX-30 is the first all-electric Mazda vehicle. Its electric motor and 35.5-kWh battery produce 143 horsepower and 200 lb.-ft. of torque. It will be able to go up to 130 miles on a full charge. Plus, with DC fast charging, it can be charged up to 80 percent in about 35 minutes.
Going along with its eco-friendly powertrain, the Mazda MX-30 uses some unique materials for the interior. These include recycled plastic bottles for door trims, cork in the console tray, and a vegan alternative to leather seats.
2022 MAZDA CX-5
The 2022 Mazda CX-5 will come with a base 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 187 horsepower and 186 lb.-ft. of torque. There’s one other available engine: a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that offers 250 horsepower and 320 lb.-ft. of torque. Rear-wheel drive has now replaced the standard front-wheel drive in previous models.
This SUV will offer many advanced features, including Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and HD radio. There are also many built-in safety components, such as lane keep assist, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and lane departure warning.
