Late last month, Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) announced that it would be continuing its support of the Annual Disaster Giving Program (ADGP) with its largest in-kind vehicle donation of 16 Mazda vehicle donations to the American Red Cross. That is up from the 15 vehicles it donated last year and represents the brand’s continued relationship with the Red Cross. Here at your Mazda dealers near Freehold, NJ, Lester Glenn Mazda, we’re proud to be associated with a brand that is committed to helping those in need. Keep reading to find out more!
Robert Davis, senior vice president of U.S. operations at MNAO, had this to say about the partnership with the American Red Cross:
Through the Mazda Drive for Good program, the Mazda brand has the ability to work with strong non-profit partners throughout the United States—and the American Red Cross continues to provide an incredible partnership sharing similar values as ours. Partnerships such as these are important to the very being of who Mazda is as an organization.
Each one of the 16 Mazda vehicles will be donated and delivered to a Mazda dealership across the county in order to reach those American Red Cross offices that are most in need of new transportation. The donated vehicles will be used to deliver emergency supplies and services to families and areas affected by disasters. The American Red Cross provides shelter, food, and emotion support to victims of disasters, supplies about 40 percent of the nation’s blood supply, teaches lifesaving skills such as CPR, etc., provides international humanitarian aide, supports military members and their families, and more!
